Mastering Your Digital Camera
Capturing great images requires an understanding of your camera and acquiring this understanding can be fun when you are in the right atmosphere.

If being trapped in the AUTO mode of your camera is holding you back and you are yearning to produce images that express your creative talents, then Mastering Your Digital Camera is the workshop for you. Great photos result from combining knowledge of your camera with a fresh approach to a familiar object.

Studio Lighting Session #1
While studio lighting may seem complicated and the equipment foreign, participation in this workshop will replace your anxiety with enthusiasm.

Here we discuss standard studio equipment, exposure, D.O.F., lighting ratios and more. This workshop is ideal for those who are considering setting up a studio or who have recently purchase studio equipment and are having difficulty putting it all together.

Equipment and techniques shown in this workshop are a prerequisite to Studio Lighting Session #2.

Studio Lighting Session #2
Here we put the lighting lessons into practice as we conduct an evening model shoot.

This two hour shoot will allow you to gain experience utilizing studio lighting equipment as well as directing a model. Yes, time goes fast during this evening shoot, but the experience will last a long time.

Intro to Macro Photography
True macro photography requires skill, dedication and specialized equipment. Participants to this workhops should be warned in advance...macro photography can be extremely addictive.

In this workshop we explore camera, lenses, flash, tripod and a variety of other equipment related to macro photography.

Specific attention is given to setting up, lighting and depth-of-field. Check the workshop calendar if you are interested in participating in the Macro Photography Field Trip.

Photo Composition
Good composition is essential if a photograph is to be successful.

Spend a relaxing evening exploring the rules and techniques that make a photograph stand out from others. An eye for detail, filling the frame, framing your photo, rule of thirds and much, much more are discuss in this informative session.

A number of photos will be viewed, discuss and evaluated by participants.

Intro to Nature Photography
Nature photography emphasises natural elements... flora, fauna and landscape.

This workshop covers the essential skills for shooting landscapes, photographing wildlife, creating abstract  shots, and the benefits of using Camera Raw for nature photography.

We will be improving your Nature Photography skills by mastering the ability to read light, best weather, best time of day, create a custom white balance, selecting equipment and more...
