Note: As this workshop forms the basis for all other others, it has been revised to allow sufficient time for all participants master the basics.

Part 1: Aspects of photography directly related to the APERTURE and DOF.
Part 2: Aspects of photography directly related to the SHUTTER and MOTION.
Capturing great images requires an understanding of your camera. This is more than simply setting the camera to the AUTO MODE, it means acquiring an understanding of the SAFE method of photography:
- Shutter speed (Stop or Show Motion)
- Aperture (Depth of Field)
- Focus (Manual vs. Auto)
- Exposure (Based on aperture/shutter speed/ISO)
Great photos result from combining knowledge of your camera with a fresh approach to a familiar subject.
During this workshop we will cover the following:
- Manual Mode
- Shutter Priority
- Aperture Priority
- Manual Focus
- ISO
- Lens Selection
- Working With Flash
Participants should bring the following items:
- Camera (full manual features preferred)
- Flash (external preferred)
- Tripod
- Memory Card (formatted - empty)
- Camera Manual
- Note book and pen
