Welcome to RG Photography Canada

Every artists should reach a point where they focus on what really motivates them and open a new page in their book of life experiences. My new page is titled RETIREMENT or at least moving to those things that I enjoy most and offers the best in terms of lifestyle.

Beginning in 2014 I will begin to split my time between Alberta and British Columbia and I will leave it to you to figure out where I will be during the winter months.

This change in lifestyle will include offering workshops that grow your skills and enhance their photographic vision. These workshops will include long exposure, macro, street and the covering of photographic principals with Mastering Your Digital Camera. Workshops schedules will be finalized and posted the end of June 2014, but may be subject to change to ensure participants have the best opportunity to be successful.

Tours will also be posted by the end of June 2014. Photo tours provide participants with the best opportunity to capture once in a lifetime images and as a result the majority of time is spent shooting with minimal photo instruction. The instructor or instructors will assist you with resolving photo issues but assistance is not provided in a much detail as in a workshop.

Please refer back to this website for continued updates.

Hello...my name is Robert. For the most part, I am a self-taught photographer as I have always had the ability to visualize printed instructions and for me manuals frequently replaced the classroom. While my photo experiences span many decades, I am constantly willing to experiment with new equipment and techniques.
My life experiences probably play a part in my photography but for me photography is simply about having fun and sharing experiences with others. Of course it is important to know the rules but it is just as important to know when to break them. I am more excited about viewing your excellent prints than I am with discussing the type of equipment you pack to capture them. I believe in getting it right in the camera and that a photographer should spend more time getting it right in the camera than post-processing requirements. I work on the 10 minute rule for post-processing and if it takes longer than that it will likely be discarded.

I'm not always right, I'm not always wrong but I'm always having fun with photography.
Cheers
